TikTok launched its lifestyle services brand, TikTok GO, in Indonesia, the US and Japan, marking a further push into travel and local commerce. The company said TikTok GO allows users to discover and book hotels, attractions, dining and travel experiences directly within the app. The feature was first introduced in Indonesia in late April before expanding to additional markets. In the US, where TikTok says it reaches more than 200 million users, the service enables users to browse travel-related content via videos, search results or location pages, check availability, and complete bookings without leaving the platform. TikTok has partnered with major travel and experience providers including Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Trip.com to power the service. [TechNode reporting]

Unitree said the GD01 is designed as a new type of civilian transportation vehicle and weighs about 500 kg in its rideable form. At the company’s shareholder meeting held the same day, Tencent President Liu Chiping firmly dismissed concerns about potential layoffs amid the industry-wide wave of job cuts, saying: “There are definitely no plans for large-scale layoffs. Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility unit, JAC, Stellantis, and Maserati are in talks to jointly develop a new energy vehicle under the Maserati brand, according to Yunjian Insight. The proposed structure would reportedly mirror Huawei’s existing “Five Brands” model, with Huawei leading product definition and core technology, JAC handling joint development and manufacturing, and Maserati contributing design and brand positioning. The project is said to include separate versions for China and overseas markets. The China version would fall under Huawei and JAC’s Maextro brand, while the overseas version would carry the Maserati badge. The first model is reportedly still in the design stage and is planned for mass production in the second half of next year.
