According to Israeli financial outlet Calcalist, Playtika is in talks with Tencent over a potential sale of its mobile game studio SuperPlay, with the deal reportedly valued between $1 billion and $1.5 billion. Playtika acquired SuperPlay in 2024 for $690 million in cash, along with an earn-out agreement worth up to $1.25 billion tied to the studio’s financial performance between 2025 and 2027. Under the agreement, Playtika reassesses SuperPlay’s performance—primarily its revenue growth—at the end of each year and adjusts the additional consideration payable to the founders accordingly. As SuperPlay has continued to outperform expectations, Playtika’s contingent payment obligations have also increased. One of SuperPlay’s biggest growth drivers is Disney Solitaire, a Disney-licensed mobile card game that industry estimates generates around $300 million in annual revenue.
