Stars, vintage toys and comic masters all out to slay Hong Kong anime fair

Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong will accommodate 38,000 participants, 7,000 more than last year’s event, and host a record 201 exhibitors Hong Kong’s annual anime fair will return with its biggest edition yet, boosting capacity by 20 per cent and featuring a record 201 exhibitors, alongside live sketches by local comic masters and a vintage toy collectibles exhibition. The organiser of Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) on Wednesday announced that its 27th edition would be able to accommodate 38,000 participants, 7,000 more than last year’s event, and host a record 201 exhibitors, up from 160 in 2025. The event will run from July 24 to 28 in Halls 1, 3 and 5FG of the Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a one-way visitor flow to improve crowd management. Leading Japanese voice actor Kawanishi Kengo, best known for voicing Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer, and popular virtual idols will grace the stage for highly anticipated performances and fan meet-and-greets. “Dig Dig Island”, curated by renowned animator and toy collector Neco Lo Che-ying, will showcase and sell designer toys, vintage collectibles, and precious comic manuscripts.
