On Thursday, XPeng unveiled the MONA L03 smart SUV at its global launch event in Munich, Germany. The model will be launched in 65 countries and regions, including China, Europe, and other overseas markets, according to the Chinese automaker. The launch marks a strategic move in XPeng’s global expansion, as the MONA L03 is the company’s first model introduced simultaneously across international markets rather than debuting in China first. By unveiling the vehicle in Munich, a key hub of Europe’s automotive industry, XPeng signals its ambition to compete directly with established global automakers. In China, the MONA L03 starts at RMB 123,800 ($18,280) and is available in both battery-electric (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. In Europe, pricing begins at €35,600 ($40,720), while the EREV version starts at €38,600 ($44,150), positioning the model to compete in the region’s mainstream electric SUV segment. The MONA L03 places a strong emphasis on efficiency and driving range. The all-electric version delivers up to 650 km of CLTC range while consuming as little as 11.5 kWh per 100 km.
