Chinese humanoid robot maker AgiBot has initiated the process for a Hong Kong IPO. The move follows earlier reports that the Shanghai-based company had selected banks and was preparing for a listing. Founded in 2023, AgiBot develops humanoid robots and embodied AI systems for industrial and commercial applications. Moonshot AI is set to release the model weights for Kimi K3 on July 27, allowing developers to download, modify, and host the model independently. Kimi K3 was launched earlier this month with 2.8 trillion parameters, native visual understanding, and a one-million-token context window. The Beijing-based company positions Kimi K3 as an open-weight model for long-horizon coding, knowledge work, and reasoning. Chinese autonomous driving company Momenta has launched its Robovan autonomous freight business, with vehicles already operating in Suzhou’s Xiangcheng district. The company said the vehicles are being deployed for express delivery and overnight delivery, using its R7 world model and a map-free approach adapted from passenger-car deployments. Momenta said the same model platform will support passenger cars, Robovan, Robotruck, and Robotaxi applications, with potential expansion into embodied AI. Tencent’s workplace communication and collaboration platform Enterprise WeChat has opened beta testing of an AI assistant named Dayuan. Users can swipe left from any interface to activate the assistant, which can access Enterprise WeChat’s documents, spreadsheets, meetings, and calendar tools. Samsung Electronics’ Mobile eXperience division is reportedly considering Chinese-made DRAM for low- and mid-range smartphones sold in China, including Galaxy A models, according to a South Korean media report cited by IT Home. The move would allow Samsung to use lower-cost Chinese LPDDR5X memory as rising component prices put pressure on smartphone margins. The report said Samsung is considering the move partly to reduce production costs and improve its position in China, where its smartphone market share has fallen to 0.6%. Shein is reportedly preparing for a Hong Kong IPO as early as late August, with the listing potentially moving into September, according to its draft prospectus and people familiar with the plan. The fast-fashion ecommerce company has cleared key regulatory and listing hurdles, although the filing did not disclose the planned offering size or price range. Earlier reports said Shein was seeking to raise between $2 billion and $3 billion at a potential valuation of $40 billion to $50 billion.
