World’s first wind-powered underwater data center in commercial use

In China's financial hub Shanghai, a data center has been built in the sea. The wind-powered underwater facility – the first of its kind in the world – has recently been put into commercial use. Compared to traditional land-based data centers, the project is designed to use over 95% green electricity, reducing power consumption by 22.8 %, water consumption by 100% and land use over 90%.
